Compatibility Methodology

Read our technical methodology for testing stylish names across game engines, Unicode byte limitations, and platform font renderers.

Compatibility Testing Methodology

How does our Compatibility Lab evaluate name strings? Our testing suite runs three sequential checks:

  1. UTF-8 Byte Length Calculation: In many game backends (such as Free Fire), limits are enforced on total UTF-8 bytes rather than visual character count. Complex multi-byte glyphs are measured accurately.
  2. Unicode Block Verification: Characters are validated against banned control ranges, zero-width joiners, and platform-filtered scripts.
  3. Glyph Fallback Rendering: We check whether the target platform's system font reliably contains a valid glyph outline or defaults to replacement tofu.
